Black Brass Buttons is our most popular Leptinella! It has beautiful bronze-black, fern-like foliage that creep along on top and underneath the soil to form a soft, fuzzy mat under your feet. Leptinellas have small cream buttons that top the plant in spring. Plant in a woodland setting, over mini daffodils for a natural look.Platt's Black looks great in a wire basket. Add annuals to create a one-of-a-kind container. Great look for entryways, courtyards, pathways or as lawn substitute.

Garden Tips from Fran
Leptinella Platt's Black is the king of the Leptinellas. It has the color, it has the swank and swagger and it has the feel! It creeps, it roams, its colorful and it makes everywhere you put it look every prettier. Need I say more?
Use it as a lawn substitute, pathway plant, bark/mulch replacement in your shade garden and feel free to walk barefoot in your garden! Even makes a nice carpet of color in a fairy garden!
~I have included the Leptinellas to the non-flowing plant category as their little button flowers are so insignificant that I felt it was best to add them rather than leave them out.
